Who Dun It I: Case of the Hopeless Diamond |
|
Scripture: |
Roman Road |
|
Cast: |
1A 6T: Captain/Host(ess) Pillage
Pilfer, Pierre Purloin (French chef), Larceny Steal
(Activities), Madam Sue Fortune (rich woman who owns the huge
“hopeless” diamond), Rob Moore (dark, mysterious & guilty
looking guest), Hugh Plunder (the other guilty looking guest).
All are guilty looking. Also, an adult can play the part of the
narrator or another teen, but should stand off to the side of
the action of the skit and can read their part from a podium. |
|
Plot: |
The cast assembles and as they
gather, they discuss their invitations and their destination. A
huge diamond has vanished, the “hopeless diamond.” Stolen. The
members of the cast must find the culprit among them. The
director has the discretion to withhold the final outcome if
desired from the cast, who announces the outcome. There is also
an opportunity for congregation/audience participation if
desired. |
|
Running Time: |
Approximately 15-20 minutes. |
|
Set Design: |
Contemporary. Discretion of the
director. If a cruise ship is the destination then that would
dictate the theme. If a ski lodge is the destination then that
would be the theme. Anything will work. |
|
Props: |
“Hopeless Diamond,” which can be
a cheap plastic child’s toy |
|
Costumes: |
Yes, but modern clothing i.e.
chef, wealthy lady etc. for added fun for the cast, can be asked
to come up with their own costumes and makeup as they think the
character would need. |
|
Music: |
None unless softly played
background music is desired. |
